Remote ore quality analysis from 10-25 m distance
Remote (10m – 25m) analysis of elemental composition of mineral materials is very useful whenever there is a necessity to evaluate the quality of the extracted raw material at the earliest stage, such as when:
·
Determining the optimal location of explosion and extraction in an open pit
·
Establishing the average composition of raw materials in dump trucks
·
Pouring crushed ore or raw mixture from one conveyor to another, or filling an bunker
In 2011, MAYA remote analyzer successfully passed a test of determining the quality of phosphate ore at an open pit in Florida, US. This test has shown that remote LIBS analysis can be used to determine the quality of the extracted ore and find a place of extraction, according to the production program regulating the quality of the ore sintering mix.
